Concerned Black Men National Organization (CBM) thanks Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (former Maryland Lt. Governor) for taking time to support the Mentoring Monday Phone-a-thon televised on August 16, 2010 at WTTG FOX 5 .  As the lead mentoring program for the event, CBM worked closely with Fox 5 and 11 other mentoring organizations to make the event a complete success. Having Kathleen Kennedy Townsend take time out of her busy schedule to talk about her mentoring experience as well as the importance of mentoring inspired callers to pick up the telephone and take the first step to becoming a mentor.

The support of dedicated public officials like Kathleen Kennedy Townsend will continue to spotlight the importance of mentoring and the profound affect it can have on everyone involved.  Her message that "When all is said and done, being able to say you helped someone is what matters" rang loud and clear.
