Concerned Black Men National - Organization (CBM) held its First Annual Fatherhood Initiative Graduation Celebration recognizing fathers completing the Organization's Fatherhood Initiative Project.

Washington DC----On Saturday June 18, 2011 Concerned Black Men National-Organization (CBM) held its First Annual Fatherhood Initiative Graduation Celebration as part of the Organization's Fatherhood Initiative Project. Twenty-Seven fathers who completed the 13 week evidenced-based responsible fatherhood course and parent support sessions were awarded Certificates of Completion. Program participants dressed in colorful African dashiki’s under the theme “Color Him Father” as they reclaimed their place in the lives of their children, families and communities.  In attendance were family members and community partners.  In addition, the program was recognized for this accomplishment by the presence of representatives from the District of Columbia Superior Court, Fathering Court Division and the City Council of the District of Columbia.
