Washington DC---The focal point of CBM’s “Day of Pampering” event was to establish a dialogue with parents based on the idea of encouraging them to “be the best parent(s) that they can be”, while also showing the parents that they are appreciated. The event, held at the National Capital YMCA, featured vendors such as DCFEMS, Mary Kay, Fabulous You, Inc., Bennett Career Institute, Clarice Beauty Center, and Bladensburg Barber School. These vendors played integral parts in making the event a success. Services such as health screening, fashion and beauty tips, manicures, and haircuts were provided to participants free of charge. Additionally, commercial such as Costco and Wegmans-Woodmore contributed to the event by providing gift cards that helped in supplying beverages and other essentials.
