President Obama and First Family join Concerned Black Men during MLK Day of Service
President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia team with the Organization's CBM CARES® mentors and mentees to honor the Martin Luther King Holiday through community service.
Concerned Black Men – National Organization (CBM) was presented the honor of joining President Obama and the First Family at Stuart Hobson Middle School in northeast Washington DC to perform community service projects during the Martin Luther King Day Holiday. CBM along with other community based organizations commemorated the MLK Holiday by completing various community services initiatives in the Nation’s Capital. Mentors and mentees from the Organization's CBM CARES® National Mentoring Initiative worked alongside the president to paint murals presenting inspirational messages as well as themes to promote academic achievement and healthy lifestyles. Concerned Black Men salutes the president and First Family for supporting community service through mentoring!
