Concerned Black Men National | 2nd Annual Fatherhood Summit Recap!

On September 19, 2012 at Gallaudet University’s Kellogg Conference Center, Concerned Black Men – National Organization hosted its’ 2nd Annual Fatherhood Summit. The theme of this year’s summit was “Responsible Fatherhood: No One Does It Alone Partnerships, Collaborations, Community”. This one-day forum featured, Dr. Patrick Richard of Johns Hopkins University, Lauren Hogan, Director of Public Policy of the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI), George Garrow, Esq., Executive Director, CBM National and White House Executive Director of the Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Joshua DuBois who gave the keynote remarks. Panel discussions included why fathers matter as well as how CBM and its partners helped fathers become better parents. CBM wants to send a special thanks to the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) as a summit partner, and the continued support from the White House, DTLR, Inc. and our extended partners.
